- Melbourne based artist and two-time winner of the National Gallery Trustees Prize for painting, Robin Metcalfe initially studied law before undertaking a Fine Arts Degree in Painting at the Victorian College of the Arts. Robin later successfully completed his Masters Degree in Fine Arts. Described by The Age, Melbourne as a 'major talent', his work has been highly publicised through his work being featured in numerous magazines such as Belle, Vogue Living, Australian Interiors, Home Beautiful and on several TV shows. During the mid to late 1990's with widespread support from decorators, architects and designers alike, Robin thrived outside the boundaries of conventional art galleries. His works are now represented in private art collections in Singapore, the United States of America, Hong Kong, Britain, France, New Zealand and of course in Australia. His artwork can also be seen in various corporate foyers around Melbourne.
